TOWARDS THE DREAM TO TRAVEL THE WORLD!

TOWARDS THE DREAM TO TRAVEL THE WORLD!

HELLO WORLD! Well not really, since I just visited 2 countries during the trip. Well overall, the sailing was fine, but we did hit some rough waters in the open sea during the 4th day!

So anyway, lets start from day 1 of the cruise!

DAY 1 - On board the ship in Singapore!

AND IT SET SAIL AT 3PM!!! I think, because I gave a call to Shahrul LOL! I didn't switch on my phone after nor brought my computer along.

And it was already starting to feel really good. Because staring non-stop at a com screen does funny stuff to you.

The top deck of the ship overlooking harbourfront

Playing with the functions of niki (nicknamed my Nikon, no laughing)

The tugboat the would tug the huge ass ship out.

We were anchored next to this ship, and I'm guessing the "DE" stands for Denmark. RIGHT RACHEL???!!! RIGGGHHHTT!!?? She's gonna sink it.

Bro and mum playing a round of golf on top. HUH, PUTTING ARE FOR LOSERS. HHHHAHAHAHHAH!!

And evil rich bosses plotting against humanity and poor defenseless animals. DO YOU REALISE THAT IN MOVIES THEY ARE ALWAYS DOING GOLF PUTTING?!
YES, this is from Singapore. Shocking right, that hidden away from the Singaporean eye is actually a spot that looks so lovely.

Hur hur, Yan Lin, IS THAT YOU?! HUR HUR HUR!

The steward looking after our room (I shared the cabin with Grampa) used towels to fold this elephant. And when I got back, grampa placed my sunglasses on it.

LOL that joker

Entrance of Romeo & Juliet. A fine dining restaurant that would cater to our meals all the way.

It is all included in the ship price so you don't have to pay during the dinner, and you can order as much as you want.

It always has Appetizers, Main course and Dessert. Too full to continue anymore, because the portions are awesome.

*pause*.................... OKAY I ATE TWO DESSERTS ALRIGHT! BUT THEY WERE DAMN NICE!

I admit, I HATE BREAD. But the breads there are sooooo freshly baked and the butter is so fragrant. Throughout the 5 days, I ate like at LEAST 4 pieces of butter EACH DAY.

The thoughts of Friends reading this:

Nice friend - "Wow, Yan Lin... eat so much butter, 5 day x 4 butter = 20 butter spreads MIN. Hope she doesn't die =( "

Evil friend - "WAH LAO THIS FATTIE CONFIRM DIE ONE LA, EAT SO MUCH BUTTER!"

so which group do you fall into HUH HUH HUH!!!

Dessert. Tiramisu. And I am so embarrass. Yes I am. Because I am an absolute sucker for sweet stuff, so I had to stuff my face with two rounds of dessert.

First was the orange sherbet *as seen below* and when I got to the Tiramisu, I was so full, I could eat only half.

So the head waiter asked me if I didn't like the Tiramisu and if I wanted to change it.

LIKE A FATTIE ZOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT ATE TOO MUCH AND AND COULDN'T FINISH!! ARRRGGHHHHH!!!

so I had to admit to him that I overate and and I couldn't finish. He was nice enough to smile and told me to take my time.

RELAX OKAY! THIS IS FOOD FROM ONE OF THE FIVE DAYS! I didn't eat so many cakes in one sitting.

Anyway, Imagined that I ate all 3 course meals for 5 days consecutively. Yes the weight that I put on was unimaginable.

The head waiters, waiters, Head chefs, Assistant Chefs and etc. Performing for us during the Captains Dinner. Which is pretty lavish since well, the captain is here hahha.

The staff come from 27 different countries, I spotted Korean, china, Africa, Japan, UK and many many other Europe countries.

And they sang in Chinese LOL. The last time I went, they sang in Italian.

DAY 2 - PORT KLANG, Malaysia.

Port Klang is the harbour in KL. Yes, Kuluar Lumpur. You take an hours ride down to the main city in KL.

We decided to visit another attraction of KL, which is One Utama. It is much like vivocity but something like a self sufficient town. The place was pretty quiet, and we had Japanese there.

Pictures from 2nd day dinner at Romeo & Juliet. The utensils are really shiny. And that is my bread. Salivating for my butter already.

Awesome meat pie. Appetisers.

Salmon chunks and roe with garlic bread. KK's Appetiser *KK stands for Kor kor, it means brother in dunno-what-language*

Grandpa having a healthy starters. but to tell you the truth, I saw him eyeing my super fatty meat pie HAHAHHAHAHAHAH!!!!

Grampa Eating COD FISH. UUUUGGGHH!!! It is sort of a reflex action whence if I eat Cod, I will gag and vomit.

I know gross, but COD IS DAMN GROSS TOO OKAY.

But I take Cod liver oil Pills for my supplements, so I'm pretty much covered! MUAHAHHAH!!

I had boring lemon chicken. But GOSH, the rice is super soft, white and fluffy! And the chicken was fried and tasted soo well with the lemon sauce. Salty with sweet.

DIED and went to heaven just because of Lemon Chicken rice.

Eww another fish dish. Don't know why my mom and gramps are super fish people. MEAT ARE FOR AWESOME PEOPLE LIKE ME!!! mUAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!

Shaaaddap I know you wanna add A F-A-T IN IT OKAY!!!

*RANDOM*

Some bloody @sshole is smoking on top my house till his smoke is in my mom's room where I'm sitting here blogging and it stinks like shet and the room is so bloody smoky.

BACK TO MY ALTERNATE WORLD OF FOOD =)

Each table is designated to a waiter, and he will make sure that the food is to your taste. Taking picture of the sacred container holding my awesome golden Butter. HAHAHHA

And of course it is not nice to be a bloody idiot as to try out how good their service can get. But you can change stuff like maybe you don't want this in your dish and yadda yadaa.

At the start of the meal, the waiter would tell you the chef's recommendation, and because he has tasted the food, he would always tell you his recommendation. How it is cook with what stuff and all.

My strawberry Meringue. A type of dessert made with Whipped egg whites and Sugar. It is really hard, but soft on the inside. They had strawberry sauce to go with it.

Sweet and sour. Perfect dessert for that night!

Yes OKAY, I had my double DESSERTS, like ALWAYS. With it came my almond ice cream. And I haven't tried a good almond ice cream, till I came on board this ship.

Their ice cream is served with huge whole chunks of almond. Enough said.

View of the dining hall. On Normal days the dressing is smart casual. But during the captains dinner, it is formal.

This is like the main plaza of the ship, where a band plays live music, mostly jazz & blues or old songs, which are awesome.

It was pretty much christmas period, so the whole place was decorated nicely!

A lift that takes you from 1st storey to 9th storey!

They have two pools. One is outdoor, and one is indoor, which is air-conditioned. BUT! something special about the indoor pool is that....................

THIS. YES. THIS. Where a Jamaican woman makes the best fries ever. Something like Long John Silver's fries, BUT BETTER.

My brother was abit skeptical about it, because well all fries are oily and everything. But when I gave him a taste of this, he got hooked.

IT IS THAT GOOD. I hanged out here alot. They start from 6am all the way till 1am.

YOU WILL NEVER STARVE IN THIS SHIP!

While leaving Malaysia, I took a picture of a red thunder cloud. Luckily it didn't swing our way.

This is the other eating place, WINDJAMMER. It is more on Buffet style. Really awesome buffet, like steak, ham, turkey, curry, potatoes, pasta, pizzaz, cakes and LOADS MORE.

YES, NEVER ENDING SUPPLY OF BUTTER HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA!!

The cabin. There is a curtain to seperate sleeping space away from the TV area. So you can watch TV and the other sleepy head can sleep.

There is always a earphone jack for you to plug in, so you won't disturb that other poor fella.

OH man I realised the pictures are all jumbled up, so anyway:

DAY 2 - PORT KLANG, MALAYSIA

We took a taxi ride down to town to have Japanese, as I said ealier LOL. But before that, we had breakfast at Romeo & Juliet. Yes, fine dining, but no 3 course meals.

They served juice and freshly baked bread (WITH AWESOME COLD BUTTER) and you can choose what you want.

From a wide range of pancakes and waffles to bread and jam. The jam rocks. They had like apple, blueberry or stawberry jam.

I ate the most fattening one. Which cheese & Ham omelette. HEH

After the long stuffy ride from the harbour to malaysia, we had lunch at this Japanese Restaurant recommended by my Aunt.

Grandpa enjoyed the fish liver and ordered two servings. Gawd the liver was so huge, from a monk Fish. LOL!

go google it. I did LOL, and it was real pretty.

The other dishes we ordered. My grandpa wanted to order the Sashimi set with Garlic rice, but the chef would not allow it.

It was a japanese guy. So the ingredients there are places specially to compliment the other dishes. Nice.

DINNER TIME!!!!

My mom had Escargots, while I tried something else.

Fresh Succulent PRAWNS! They call it cocktail prawns, serve with Chili sauce and lemon. At this point of time, I had already eaten so many things, I just gave in to craving.

I wasn't hungry at all. From all the food I ate these past few days, I can go hungry for 3 meals. That was how bloated and fat I was feeling.

I think this was during the captain's night, hence for the dressing by KK and grampa. The paper states formal dressing.

Truthfully you needn't dress so formal till the point of tuxedo and gowns haha.

Having my beef steak, medium rare. DUN YOU LOOOOVE IT BLOODY????! HAHHAHAH

Mom having fish again. Jeez she's missing out on the good stuff.

While tucking in to the appetisers, we caught a glimspe of the sun set! Awesome, right outside our window.

I know it's damn cheesy, but I really felt happy for everything that happened during 2009. You kinda get sentimental during moments like this.

Cheesecake with a douse of strawberry sauce.

KK had Soufflé. When it is served, the waiter will poke a hole in the middle and fill it up with nice hot cream.

I KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS ARE THINKING OKAY! ^@(*#&@(#*&)!!!!!!!!!!

My rainbow sorbet.

The buffet dining place WINDJAMMER. They serve awesome good quality food too. SIGH, so many things to eat!

Okay, I think some of the food from 4th day was mixed up in the 2nd day photos, but yea, end of 2nd day, NOW! TO 3RD DAY!!

3rd day - PHUKET

you see this boat? I takes us from the cruise ship to the shores of Phuket. Because the harbour is too small to accommodate the huge ass cruise ship.

So to get to shore, we use TENDER BOATS.

The first few groups of chiongsters. hahaha. I was suntanning on the deck, so I managed to get a glimspe of the tender boats.

The view while sun tanning. I seriously felt like a kaya toast. Nice crispy and brown, TURN, next side.

It was great because everyone was in Phuket, except for a few indiviuals like me who decided to stay on ship to sun tan and make use of the vacant pool. WOO HOO!

stupid kids, always eating finish the ice creams. So when they were all dragged to shore by their parents.......

I SAT THERE AND ATE ICE CREAM FOR 4 HOURS WHILE SUN TANNING HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAH!!!!

..... I'm such a fatass.

One of the staff mending the ice cream machine, helping out bro.

LOOK AT MY FAT HAPPY SATISFIED FACE HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!

Hmm when I think Phuket, I imagined pure, clear pristine waters. However when I got there, I was greatly mistaken, because the water was sadly a muddy brown when we got closer to shore.

But as you can see the picture below, the deeper waters were pretty blue and nice.

KK posing as we sailed further away from the ship.

On my way to the shore I saw many awesome yatches like this where people rent it for fishing and partying.

I think it would be awesome if I can get a bike license and scooter all over Phuket! Just rent & go!!

Jet ski. I didn't try because my mum was not feeling well and I kinda bathed before I step foot on phuket haha.

Nicholas being dead gruympy because I kept making him cam-whore with me.

scary. Reminds you of stuff that happened here.

Super tourist attraction, with all the sea sports and beach chairs sprawled across the beach.

AND!!! THAT CONCLUDES MY TRIP TO PHUKET HAHAHAHAHHA! Yes I know, sad. But my mum was feeling really sick and well.... the weather was really HOT!

We got back on the ship and KK decided to go tanning....

BY THE 6PM SUN HHAHAHAHAHAHHA!! CAN YOU SEE HIS SUN SETTING LOL!!

So while Mr.KK "suntanned" I sat around and read my twilight book. I didn't even sweat at all.

He is really smart when it comes to studying, but can be abit of a bimbo when it comes to stuff like that. HAHAHAHAHAH!!!

But I was glad, because I managed to take a nice picture of the sunset in Phuket!

Which ever country they sail to, the ship will raise that country's flag.

The pool side during sun set.

Everynight, the ships entertainment crew will perform something from us. Sometimes they get world reown performers.

Love grampa to the max.

The top deck at night, and the wind is sooo strong sometimes it pushes you back. Behind us is the midnight buffet where they serve porridge and pasta.

4th day - OPEN SEA

We sailed back to singapore, and spent one whole day in the open sea. We asked our head waiter if he ever got sea sicked before.

He said during the 1st week he was onboard the ship, they travelled 5 days on the open sea which was really rough.

Because the ship comes down from Europe.

THE END OF THE TRIP

I got my rest and gained ALOT of weight. If you asked me, I think going on a cruise with your friends is the best thing, because you get to visit so many places in comfort and luxury for a good price.

Yes, all this for $600. Well till next time!!!!
